Thursday, 30th - small influx of Tufted Ducks with most of these (137) with 3 Pochard (Ed Wilson) Tuesday, 28th - late Blackcap calling (Chiffchaff numbers much reduced over last week) and at Trench Pool (Ed Wilson) Monday, 20th: The Flash I also spotted what I thought was a Scaup earlier today (4.45) on Priorslee Flash and it has taken me 3 hours since the sighting to go through my ID books to check. There were clear white markings at the base of the bill and not much sign of a tuft which is why I thought it was a Scaup. It was probably just a Juv. Tufted but someone else will probably need to confirm this with a photo (they are similar at this stage)...
